1995-Present
Responsible for the development of several
Internet and network related initiatives. Participated in the
implementation of the company's 15 node Ethernet TCP/IP based
Local Area Network (LAN). This also includes the complete setup
and development of the company's T-1 based local website. Responsible
for the development of all of the company's web pages from graphic
design to HTML coding.
STRUCTURED TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
(STC), NIANTIC, CT
PROJECT LEADER 1990-1995
Directed hardware and software engineers
developing R&D systems designed for data collection and storage.
Allocated resources to most effectively meet schedule and cost
objectives. Managed up to 6 concurrent tasks and completed a
total of 20 different projects.
- Successfully managed 8 engineers
providing engineering services for a major Sonar system upgrade
developed to replace the current system with a SUN SPARC workstation
networked via FDDI LAN to a VME based system. Worked closely
with the client providing engineering services for software development,
documentation, and testing.
- Managed a team of 7 engineers involved
in the hardware and software design/implementation of a custom
data collection system. The hardware included several PC and
VME based data collection devices
designed to convert analog signals to digital data and network
them via LAN to a host machine designed to record the data on
VLDS tapes.
- Provided field engineering system
installation and support for a UNIX based Mine Avoidance system.
This included shipboard hardware/software installation, crew
training, and liason support with the ship's command.
ENGINEER/ANALYST
1986-1990
Performed hardware and software design
and implementation of diverse PC, HP, and microprocessor based
systems. These systems were designed for at-sea data collection
and post exercise analysis.
- Developed an algorithm to display,
store and playback real time sonar data on an HP 9000 series workstation.
Algorithms were developed in C and Rocky Mountain Basic.
- Designed and developed a PC based
interface to translate and distribute Global Positioning Satellite
(GPS) data to several data recording devices.
